Another great event! 2023 CALZONA Showcase did not disappoint. Many connections made with our E1 Student Athletes and College Coaches. Several commitments were made; with offers on the table with several of our student athletes. 

Thank you to all of our E1 Coaches and Staff who helped with this mega event. This event is a must for every E1 team who has student athletes on the recruiting radar.

Our E1 Texas Meet Up has made it's first stop in Lubbock, Texas. We currently have 3 teams (10U/12U/14U) in this region.  Coach Adriana Perez allowed us to utilize her AP Athletics Facility to meet up with our E1 Coaches and Families. Coach Perez oversees our E1 Teams in the Lubbock region. Meeting was very successful. Although our teams are young, conversations were held about the recruiting process and how everybody from Player, Parent, Coaches and Community play an important part in the success of our Student Athletes.

We concluded our travel season on August 13, 2023 with our 2nd Annual "E1 Beach Day" at Newport Beach, California.  It was a great turnout by our E1 Families. We had a corn hole tournament, onion sack races, tug of war, raffles and finished off with some great pizza from Newport Beach Pizza Company. As the recruiting game continues to evolve, we as an Organization also have to evolve with the changing times. From the pandemic to the Transfer Portal, the recruiting game has changed.

Therefore, we are please to announce our partnership with SportsRecruits to further assist our E1 Student Athletes in the recruiting process.

We will be hosting a Pitcher & Catcher Clinic during the month of December in Brawley, California. This event is part of our annual Fastpitch It Forward and #CommunityFirst #CommunityCommitment Pledge Program.

There will be a No Charge to attend this event, however,  we are accepting canned food goods; which will be donated to families from the Imperial Valley region during the Holiday season.

We will utilize 2 fields and will have attending campers perform various pitching and catching drills. Several of our current and former collegiate E1 Student Athletes will be assisting in this event.  Don't miss out! 

On Dec. 3, 2022, we held our annual High Desert Instructional Camp n' Showcase in Hesperia, California. After 2 successful years of hosting this event in the month of January, we elected to move this event to the month of December. Our main goal was to turn this event into a Toy Drive for the children of the High Desert community. 

The event was a success with many toys donated by attending campers. All donated were then collected and given to the  "A Greater Hope"  Holiday of Hope Toy Drive .  All donated toys will be  distributed to children from the High Desert region.

We would like to say Thank You to all of our E1 Families for participating in our annual E1 Inter Org Battle Tournament. We had some great games, we introduced "Prospect The Bear" as our official mascot for our Organization and we had College Coaches on hand to scout our Student Athletes.  We are one of the few travel ball organization who hold a tournament between it's own team in an official tournament format.

Our Elevate One (E1) Organization is proud to honor and celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with "E1 Prospectos" dri fit jerseys. This is our way of saying "Thank You" to our families and our fans of Hispanic heritage for their passionate and unwavering support. We are also proud to be one of the first Amateur Youth Sports Organizations to commemorate this celebration on our game day and fan apparel, which is now entering our third year of commemorative of the celebration.  

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

HISTORY:

The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988, on the approval of Public Law 100-402.

The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September18, respectively. Also, Columbus Day or Día de la Raza, which is October 12, falls within this 30 day period.

This event was part of our Fastpitch It Forward program and our #CommunityCommitment. Over 80 campers attended the event.  This was a No Charge event. We utilized 3 fields with various hitting drills. The campers ended the clinic by participating in the musical bats game. Thank you to all who assisted during the clinic and Thank You to Bullhead City Parks/Recreation Dept. and Dave Heath for your continued support for our E1 Organization.

For the first time in our E1 Organization history, we are playing in International Play on Feb. 8th and 9th in Mexicali, Mexico. We have assembled an E1 Prospectos 12U team which will play in the COPA Azteca Softbol Torneo. Excited to branch into International Play.  

We are looking to continue our success of creating life changing opportunities for our Student Athletes. Our Coaching Staff is well versed on the importance of providing a positive environment for our players and their families. Our priority is to connect our Prospects with as many Scholarship Opportunities which will allow them to choose the best opportunity for themselves and their families.
